Product Overview

The Martindale Abrasion Tester (eight head) is designed for testing pilling degree according to GB/T4802.2, ASTM D4970, ISO12945-2 standards, and fabric wear testing per GB/T13775, ASTM D4966, ISO12947 standards.

Operating Principle: Circular fabric specimens are subjected to friction in Lissajous trajectory patterns under specified pressure against the same material. After completing the required rotations, the pilling degree is evaluated. The instrument measures specimen damage cycles to determine fabric abrasion wear resistance.
